Local Solutions to Local Problems

Ankobra Foundation works with local communities in the UK and Ghana to find their own long term solutions to the problems they face. As well as providing advice, training and resources, we work with the communities to build sustainable projects for poverty alleviation and encourage them to make their voices heard.

Education

Education is one of the primary purposes of this organisation. Therefore we run inter-generational literacy and numeracy programmes in communities in the UK and Ghana. Illiteracy is high and prevalent among Ghanaians living in rural and urban areas. Our goal is to work with local leaders to eradicate illiteracy in communities.
